Portugal has just in it´s contintental surface 830kms of coast, this is without counting the beaches in the Azores and Madeira.
The most beautiful beaches in Portugal are found in the south in Alentejo or the western coast of the Algarve, in the natural park in the southwest and the Vicentine Coast. The list of recommended beaches is long; beaches such as that of Rocha, Faro, Vila Nova de Milfontes, Alentejo, Cabo Sardao, Malhao and Furnas are just a few to name. Zambujeira do mar is 60kms from the Saint Vincent cape; Arrifana to the north of Carrapateiro; the beaches of Amado and Berdeira, and Odeceixe the most norther beach of the Algarve. To all of these we must also add Guincho only 30kms from Lisbon, Cremisna, Ericeira and Mira beach located in between Figueira da Foz and Aveiro. In Porto Santo, the smallest of the islands in Madeira you will find a 6km fine golden sand beach waiting just for you.
